PHP Developer

Lynch Digital Media is seeking an experienced Web Developer with extensive expertise in developing PHP web applications using a MySQL database system under a Linux environment. The chosen candidate will be responsible for maintaining our existing website properties, as well as building the logic behind new properties. In this position, the individual will receive technical specifications that outline functionality, from which he/she will be able to work on the whole development life cycle, either individually or as part of a team.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years PHP work experience
• 2+ years Mysql database design and development
• Demonstrable experience working with Web Protocols (i.e. SOAP, Ajax )
• Expert HTML, JavaScript, CSS Skills
• Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Programming theory
• Working knowledge of Linux, Unix.
• Working knowledge of XML
• Coldfusion Experience Desirable
• MSSQL, Access, ASP.Net Desirable

Interpersonal skills

• Accurately meet the documented technical specifications outlined for the application
• Design, develop, test, debug, maintain and document shared software components, utilities and services
  
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a group environment
• Excellent testing and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to share ideas and interact with other developers
• Keen interest in internet technology and open source development
• Ability to acquire new skills quickly
• Written, verbal and presentation skills in English
• Ability to multi task
• Customer focused

Education: University or college level degree, or relevant work experience

The position is for 3 months, turning to full time for the ideal candidate.
